Treatments

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has evolved over thousands of years.

It is a range of medical practices sharing common concepts (the TCM theories,  such as Yin Yang, Wu Xing, Zang Fu, Fundamental Substances, etc) which have originated and developed in China, including various forms of acupuncture, dietary therapy, herbal medicine, moxibustion, and physical exercise (such as Qi Gong and Tai Chi), which collectively predate to the birth of the Chinese civilization.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles (even thinner than your hair) through your skin at the acupuncture points on your body.

It is the most well-known TCM treatment modality that can balance the Qi (energy or life force) flow through the meridians (pathway) in your body.

 

Moxibustion

Moxibustion (Moxa) is a TCM treatment modality that entails the burning of Ai Ye (mugwort leaves) to create heat. The heat is applied over the acupuncture points indirectly to warm and free course the meridians, which can help your body deal with a broad range of issues, including pain, and digestive problems.

Additionally, moxa is very gentle and relaxing.

Cupping

Special cups are put on your skin for a few minutes to create suction which can stimulate the circulation of the Qi and Blood in your body.

Cups may be made of glass, bamboo, silicone, etc. It is a TCM treatment modality which helps with pain, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.

Gua Sha

Gua sha is a natural, alternative therapy that involves scraping your skin with a smooth-edged tool to release tension or knots. It can offer a unique approach to better health, addressing issues like chronic pain, also a wonderful way to invigorate the face.

Chinese Herbs

Traditional Chinese herbal medicine is a therapy which uses raw herbs as well as herbal powers and pills. It is sometimes provided to assist with acupuncture treatment.
All medicines prescribed are natural and carefully measured to suit client requirements.
